My 2010

Today as I was continuing to clean the house I came across three wish bones. Of course we broke them. I was thinking of wishes/goals as I did this and think it would be best to put my goals in writing.

2010 Goals

* Lose weight goal is 149; maintain it.

* Take time for myself.

* De clutter.

* Make mini goals and mini rewards list.

*Finish repairs to house

*Put our house on the market

* Complete the 365 day declutter challange (plus figure out how to get the badge for that on my blog)

*Save $25 each month for Christmas gifts for son

*save money each month for son in 529 account

* Spend more quality time with Son doing things he likes).

* Be more patient with my son.

* Big Changes so no more yelling.

* Big Changes so reduced stress.

* Big Changes so I feel not taken advantage of.

What are some of your goals for 2010?

To Do and the stress relief

My to do list is long and never ending it seems. But the good news is that after clearing out my storage room in my basement sometime before Thanksgiving my living room is 75% empty. My living room was 100% empty before I brought the boxes up to that room. Which is why I used that room.

But it is very stressful to see that mess of junk just tossed into boxes day in and day out. Even making a little progress it was stressful. But now that I can walk through the room again instead of having to walk around it I am happy. There are boxes that need to be moved back into storage once the basement ceiling is done, so they will sit there for now. Then there are a box or two of my husbands things that he will need to deal with.

Yesterday I took my son to the Dentist and we tried to go to shoe carnival and we went to kohl's. I was trying to buy those new shoe that truthfully I do need new shoes but I wonder if I need the shoes I would like. I thought about it, I have worn skeakers for years now, it was ryka before that and nike before that. I have not purchased a pair of Reebok shoes in close to 15 years.

I went to the mall (foot locker) a few days ago and of course since they are the craze the shoe I wanted are sold out. I normally wear a 9 1/2 to 10. They had one pair of 9 1/2 which was nice since I could try them on, but they are too small. I will need a 10 or 10 1/2. The shoes I tried on were not the color I wanted but they did give me the chance to try them on. I want black and if I am going to shell out $100 plus tax on a pair of shoes I will get the color I want. I normally pay $45-$50for my everyday shoes and those last a good year or two. So $100 is a big jump.

I am going to give myself a pat on the back because so far this morning I have recorded and boxed up 3 more boxes of items and two more bags of items to donate.

To do:
#1. Fold Laundry
#2. Clean up the family room
#3. Record more donations so that it can be dropped off on the 1st or after.
#4. Post some free online ads for some things I would like to try to sell before i donate them
#5. Drop off the Cell phones (Cell phones for Soldiers program)
#6 Prep rebate #2 for mailing.
#7. Buy new shoes for me (Reebox toning)

Ahhh It is Monday!

It is a lovely Monday morning. Why yes I will tell you about it, thanks for asking.

I am up at 5am writing a blog entry because I am trying to curb my Farmville/facebook addiction. Truthfully I got up this morning and thought I might have heard the beep beep of the snow plow. Yes it was. Of course I am hard to please and wish the plow would have gotten closer to our curb but it could of been worse and they could have piled it right there at the start of my driveway instead of in the middle of the open space curve like they did.

Ahh the snow adventures of living in a cul-de-sac. Realized when I got up to peek out the window that I left my outside lights on again. It sticks not having streetlights, but i am not looking forward to them taking on special assessments to put them up when I just paid mine off.

I do not have to work today! I have this whole week off, I scheduled a dentist cleaning for my son tomorrow that we will be going to but other than that nothing. Ahh sweet bliss.

Ahh and now I am going to ruin that lovely morning by writing AKA venting about my sucky day yesterday!

Yesterday I had a little melt down and well after realizing I was being negative I deleted my facebook and myspace accounts. I wish I could be the blue bird of happiness all the time but sometime I need to vent and well; facebook and myspace is not the place to do it.

I don't know why I allowed my husbands friends to befriend me. It is not really necessary. They are a bad influence and truthfully I want nothing to do with them! So why not just ignore there friendship requests? Because it is like high school all over, you want everyone to like you and I have a whole 30-40 friends and some people have like 600. It is rather depressing; oh well once I am sure I will be free to post onto face book without it being used against me for my negative views I will start posting again.

Anyway I realized after a post by his buddy "you have issues..." that I needed to stop talking to him. He is always venting but really does not want to hear your issues about the same topic. eg It is nice the plow got to you finally after three days; Wish they would do my street I cant get into town and need to mail a bill and get gas for my snow blower hopefully our main road will get plowed soon also.

Truthfully part of the freaking out session happened because I cant get a bill mailed. I forgot about it on the 25th, due to the fact I was going to drop it off on the way to Christmas lunch but the roads were so bad I was not going to detour, then the 26th no mail was delivered or picked up due to the left behind snow from blizzard on the 25th, then yesterday the 27th I could not get out of the connecting street to the main road. Yeah endless fun. The bill is my husbands Child Support that has to go to Russia okay not Russia but it feels like it takes that long to mail to that state.

I opened a savings account (just to pay this bill) so that my husband could set up a automatic payment to this bill, I was hoping to fund the account then build it up to three months debit as a safety net then every paycheck we would just transfer in some money and let is auto pay. By we I mean ME as I pay all the bills. Well silly me went to the website again to see if maybe I could do a one time auto pay due to the issues with mail and nope has to be a checking account. So now I need to switch the purpose of this account. I could keep it sort of the same purpose by having it be a overdraft to that checking account, but my husband sees money and has to spend it so need the checking account to be alone and savings alone.

Savings, it could be for the new bed my husband says he must have as our bed is to soft for his liking, I have been told a sheet of pile wood between a mattress and box spring firms up a mattress real nice. But no we need to spend $2000 on a new mattress and another $1000 on the special frame for it. $250 delivery fee as it has to be delivered from the nearest store which is 300 miles away. Then of course the $100 each special bedding to fit the special bed. AHHHHHH a sore spot with me.

On Tuesday I will have to go to the office and get that checking account rolling.

On a positive note, I took out the trash and it was the huge garbage can and another five bags two of those being the big black lawn and leaf bags. Yes the clean up of the house is coming along nicely.

To do: (Cross my fingers)
#1 Mail Child Support Bill & rebate number 1
#2 Returns to Walmart
#3 Buy new shoes for me (Reebox toning)
#4 Buy a Cell phone car charger and miniSD card
#5 Record more donations so that it can be dropped off on the 1st or after.
#6 Prep rebate #2 for mailing.

Too Much Snow

I wish I could have gotten stuff done today, but I did not. I went to go out and get the things done but as I left my driveway I almost got stuck in the deep snow.

As I was waiting so my neighbor can drive in (road not plowed so only room for one) he tells me to stay home as I will never make it out of the end of the street without 4 wheel drive. He was kind enough to ask if I need him to get me something. Love that we have a 4x4 truck in the driveway that does not work.

I need to pay a bill, I also need to buy more gas for the Snow blowers on top of my to do list. But those are things I thought of later.

I did do something, I canceled my myspace and my facebook accounts. They are sure time stealer and do to privacy conserns I deleted them. I also found I was very negative about the snow and whiney and so I desided best to keep to myself and delete as much as I can and then delete the accounts.

I wonder if I should just sell the truck and hope to get what we spent on it back or if I should take in into the garage to be looked at for a fourth time.

Still trucken along

Today I am still working on going through the boxes we had in our storage room.

I can proudly say I only have a pile; one pile that is that needs to be gone through again. I do have about three boxes of papers that need to be filed though. Why is it so hard to purge. I think I have shredded at least two kitchen garbage bags full of paper, now that is pre-shred not post when it is all fluffy. Because my son broken my shredder by dropping it, I take my shredding to work and use the jumbo shredder after work; goes by much faster. I need to buy a new shredder but I will wait.

I am recycling the boxes I am emptying out for the person putting up our Sheetrock ceiling to cover our floor with and I have 18 saved for that purpose. I know I tossed at least five boxes (were coated boxes-slippery or had staples in them). That is allot of junk.

I have boxes and boxes of things that need to be recorded then I plan on making a large trip to Aid Inc. I also am currently charging some old phones so I can delete the data and donate the phones to Cellphones for Soldiers. I am keeping my last two phones as backups/replacement phones but I am still donating five phones; five phones is just crazy.

The five things I hope to get done larger today:
#1 Attempt to drop off the phones (not sure if the drop off store will be open)
#2 Return gifts to Wal-Mart
#3 Buy a car charger for my new phone
#4 Buy myself new shoes (Reebox Tone?? in Black)
#5 Fold and put away at least 3 loads of laundry.

Christmas is over, time to start saving.

Last year I easily spent $300-500 per person. This year I spent $35 on Me (Stocking stuffers) and $130 on my son that includes his stocking stuffer and a Lego advent calender. The $130 did not include four items I pulled out of the misc present Tote because I felt bad about him only getting two gifts not including the stocking stuffers.

Lesson learned; if I get gift cards for my son before the holiday use them to buy stuff from his wish list; no matter how much he asks for a gift card while at the store he would much rather open a gift he can play with now then to have to take repeated trips to the store waiting for them to restock there shelves.

I also want to start saving over the year for presents $25 each month should mean $300 to spend on my son and then maybe I can spend $50 or so on myself and have the $50 come out of the regular budget. There were two books and a DVD in my stocking; very practical if I do say so, next year I would like to get myself another book or two.

Got it done!

Today i got done.
#1 one load of dishes

#2. Priced checked my sons meds

#3 purchased gloves and shoes for my son. This meant going to the mall for the first time in 5 months. I went to Wal-Mart but they only had one pair of shoes in my sons Size, and he has already worn through that pair quickly so I wanted a better selection and so did he. We went to payless and I was able to beat Wal-Marts price by $7.00 plus the tax on $7.00. And the shoes are cool.

#4 went sledding for a little bit with my son, Quality time always a good thing.

#5 read emails, personal and my sendearning, inboxdollars and mypoints email account.

#6. cooked the cookies for Santa.

#7. Did some pushups and situps with my son (just for fun).

Thank you, hope you have a productive day!

My to do list

Today I got some things done on my to do list. This is Always a good thing.

#1. Got my husbands books reboxed to miniumize number of boxes and get them grouped with books instead of two in this box with random stuff and three in this box with random stuff. We have been try to finish our basement for the last two years and the result of regularly throwing just anything in a box and moving it to the room that is not being worked on is a unorginized mess.

#2. Dropped off some more of my sons outgrown items at the resale store. They took about two thirds of the tote so the rest needs to be recorded into my donation spread sheet so I can drop it off at Aid Inc. come January. Did not get the items entered just brought into the room that I do this in.

#3 Helped Gama wrap Christmas presents. This I do every December, each year this seems to get later and later.

#4. Sold two of the robes I picked up in Febuary for $5 each. I have one more to go, these were suppose to be Christmas gifts but we desided to just send gift cards this year, so I no longer need them and want to clear out the clutter in the house.

#5. Bagged up Gift Card for my little man. A gift card came in the mail for my son from his aunty so I took it out of the card and put it in a small gift bag and put it under the tree.

Must do soon
Price check my sons medicine at the store so I can purchase it when it goes on sale as we are down to 30 days supply left.

Have a great productive day.
